<div itemprop="description"> <p> JARDINE, WILLIS CLIFTON (CPO Retired) &ldquo;Jerry&rdquo; &ndash; 85 </p> <p> </p> <p> It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jerry Jardine of Dartmouth on January 25, 2013, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, with his family by his side.&nbsp; Born in Chatham, NB, October 12, 1927, he was the son of the late Mary Aletha (Williston) and John Franklin Jardine.&nbsp; He served with the Canadian Armed Forces (Navy) and retired Chief Petty Officer First Class in 1971.&nbsp; Jerry was an accomplished soaring pilot and the oldest student of the Bluenose Soaring Club, earning his wings at age 61.&nbsp; He was an avid curler and long-time member of the Dartmouth Curling Club.&nbsp; Jerry enjoyed travelling, camping, golfing, photography and gardening.&nbsp; A loving husband, father and brother he is survived by his wife of 54 years Elizabeth &ldquo;Betty&rdquo; (Rafuse); daughters Tanya (Mike) Milosevich, Liverpool; Pamela Jardine, Dartmouth; sister Aletha Connell, Miramaichi, NB.&nbsp; He is predeceased by his sister Vera Wilson and brother Carson Jardine.&nbsp; Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2013, 7-9pm at Atlantic Funeral Homes, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth.&nbsp; Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2013, 2pm at Woodlawn United Church, 54 Woodlawn Road, Dartmouth.&nbsp; As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Woodlawn United Church or a charity of ones choice.&nbsp; Online condolences may be placed at www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com (Dartmouth Chapel).&nbsp; </p> </div>
