<div itemprop="description">COOLEN, Stanley Wakefield &quot;Stan&quot;-51, of West Petpeswick passed away suddenly, at home on October 10, 2013. <br /> <br />Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Eileen Coolen. <br /> <br />Stan was a long-term employee of Pat King Ltd. <br /> <br />Stan spent his leisure time golfing and fishing with his buddies and loved riding his motorcycle. He was active within his community, proudly serving as a member of the Eastern Shore Ground Search and Rescue and Project Life Saver Nova Scotia. <br /> <br />He is survived by his spouse Janet DeBaie; sister, Avis Curran; brother Cecil (Yvonne) Coolen, East Petpeswick, sisters-in-law, Darlene Gallant, Elaine Hartlin, Darlene Gallant (Edmonton, AB); and brother in law Blaine (Audrey) Gallant; sister in law Gwen (Gordon) Coakley, Calgary, AB and many nephews and one grand-nephew. He will be dearly missed by his relatives and dear friends alike. <br /> <br />He was predeceased by his first wife Debby (Gallant) Coolen, mother and father-in-law John (Friday) and Margaret Gallant; brother in law David Gallant and his faithful dog, his &quot;Buckeroo&quot;, Cobey. <br /> <br />Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth on Friday October 18th from 6-8 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday October 19th at 10 am in the funeral home chapel, Rev. James Haughn officiating.
