<div itemprop="description">Sarkis, Salah Yousef "Sam"<br>July 9th, 1943 – April 6th, 2017<br><br>A loving father, wonderful man and friend to all – Salah held a warm spot in all the hearts he touched. No truer statement could be made – Salah Yousef Sarkis lived his life sharing, loving and making all feel appreciated. That is why, with heavy hearts, his family wishes to announce his passing on Thursday, April 6th. As with the case in life, Salah was surrounded by family and close friends when he gently passed at Dartmouth General Hospital. <br>Predeceased by loving parents Yousef and Azizi, brother Fayez and sisters Ava and Sauod, Salah is survived by his loving wife Leila; children Gretta (Raymond), Reena, Joseph, and Tanya (David); sisters Najeh (Rachmoun) and Sabah (Abraham); grandchildren Zanna, Julia and Samuel, and many many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.<br><br>Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth where visitations will be held from 7pm - 9pm on Sunday, April 9th, and from 2pm - 4pm and 7pm - 9pm on Monday, April 10th. <br><br>Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday April 11th in St. Antonios Antiochian Orthodox Church, 2480 Windsor St., Halifax, Fr. Maximos Saikali officiating. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or Diabetes Canada.<br><br>The family deeply appreciates all of the compassion and support given to them by the staff of the Dartmouth General Hospital, especially Kara – Thank you.
