<div itemprop="description">ROBBINS, Ronald David “Ron”, age 77, of Dartmouth. We are sorry to announce the passing of Ronald “Ron” Robbins on January 2, 2017 in the QEII, Victoria General Site. <br>Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anne (Clements) Robbins. <br>A devout and faithful man, he met the love of his life, Patsy, at a prayer group in 1973. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Parish where he served on many committees. He belonged to the Bread of Life prayer group. Ron was retired from the Canadian Armed Forces where he served in the Air Force and Army as a Radar Technician. <br>He loved gathering with the family for summer barbeques, and Christmases when he decorated the house from top to bottom. He enjoyed listening to music and most of all, treasured time spent with his grandchildren. <br>He will be remembered for his great sense of humour which he never lost, even through his illness. <br>Ron is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patsy (Richard); sons Ronald Jr., Raymond (Crissy); daughter Paula; much loved grandchildren Brooklyn and Cooper. He is also survived by his brothers Robert (Sharon), of Dartmouth, Kenneth (Elizabeth), London, Ontario; sisters Clara (Richard) Hartnett, Amherst, Joan Legere, Dartmouth, Carol (Peter) Weal, Dartmouth and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Gerald Legere. <br>Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held from 6-9 pm on Wednesday January 4th in St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 320 Flying Cloud Drive, Dartmouth. Memorial Mass will take place at 11am on Thursday January 5th, in St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Fr. Dariusz Misiolek, presiding. Reception to follow in the parish hall. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens following reception. <br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chalice Canada. <br>The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the VG Hospital for their compassionate care.
