<div itemprop="description">Salmonson, Margaret Noreen "MAGGIE" <br>It is with profound sadness and great sorrow that we announce Maggie's untimely death at the age of 26 on January 23rd, 2017. Maggie was born in Halifax on December 24th, 1990. <br>Maggie was an intelligent, funny and passionate young lady who had many great friends that were the light of her life; as she was to them. She loved animals, Manga, sketching, painting, Science fiction conventions, video games, Anime, and she was very artistic, She was a graduate of Halifax West Senior High School and then went on to NSCC (in Culinary Arts) and specialized in bread making. <br>She ultimately settled into her favourite passion, pastry arts, where she excelled and became a pastry chef. This led her to pursue a career in that endeavour one year ago. <br>Maggie is survived by her loving dad, Eric V. Salmonson; her loving step-mom, Andrea; her two adoring half-sisters, Hope and Caitlyn; paternal grandparents, Janet and Erik G. Salmonson; uncles David Salmonson and Paul (Rebecca) Salmonson and their families. She will be fondly remembered by her extended step-family, who loved her like their own. Maggie is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Noreen Warner; her loving Auntie Gail Warner (Carl); Aunt Karen (Lindsay) Zwicker; uncle Gordon Warner (Debbie) and cousin Frank Zwicker. <br>Maggie will also be very deeply missed by her loving companions, Robert Cormier and Mitch Mason, and many great friends as well. <br> <br>Maggie was predeceased by her mother Jo-Ann Warner (2005) and her maternal grandfather Gordon Warner (2007). <br> A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 30th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, with a reception to follow; the Reverend Haughn will be officiating. Cremation has taken place under the care of Atlantic Funeral Homes; a private burial will be held at a later date. <br> In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society - Nova Scotia division (3770 Kempt Rd #210, Halifax, NS B3K 4X8, 902-429-7025) or info@volunteerhalifax.ca. <br>* Please specify on the donation for the acknowledgments they send back to the families, whether they should go to Maggie's dad or Maggie's grandmother. <br>Maggie love, you will always be in our hearts and we will miss you forever. Rest easy sweetheart. <br></div>
