<div itemprop="description">ZINN, James Arthur &quot;Jim&quot;, of Dartmouth <br />Passed away peacefully on May 21,2015, at age 68, after a brief illness following surgery. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Charles Frederick &amp; Winnifred Constance (Dowding) Zinn. <br />Jim served in the Canadian Armed Forces in the Communications Regiment as well as a UN Peacekeeper in Egypt. He retired from Halifax Grain Elevators after 24 years and the only thing he will miss from there are his friends and co-workers Robert &ldquo;Bob&rdquo; White and Kimberly Batherson. He enjoyed playing guitar and loved every moment he spent with Rhiannon. <br />He leaves behind daughter; Angie and grand-daughter Rhiannon to whom he was affectionately known as &ldquo;Papa&rdquo;. <br />Jim was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Elizabeth (Atwin) of 41 years. <br />A memorial service will take place on Wednesday May 27th, 2015 at 2:00 pm, in Atlantic Funeral Home 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. His remains have been cremated and they will be taken to Oromocto, New Brunswick, where they will be interred with his late wife.
