<div itemprop="description">Gloria “Sue” Maxine Ewing – 67, passed away peacefully at Shannex-Arbourstone Home on January 17, 2017. Born in East Preston she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Saunders. She was a member of the East Preston United Baptist Church and a member of the Mass Choir. She was employed with the East Preston Day Care for some years until she changed careers and went into Personal Care. She worked as a PCW for several years until she retired from Northwood Home Care in 2014. Mom loved listening to music, dancing, knitting and completing word search puzzles in her spare time.<br>She is survived by her children, Brendon (Sylvia), Cornell (Tammy), Motiqua (Darnell) and special nephew, Jerrell Johnston; grandchildren, Amber, Nyeesha, Marissa, Cornieka, Tyreece, Bailee, Taylor, Matayo, Jordyn, Cornell Jr, Reagan and five great-grandchildren; siblings, James, Lucille and Bruce; sister-in-laws, Florence Williams, Gail Saunders, and Barbara Saunders; Godchildren, Christine Saunders, Kelisha Saunders and Martina Saunders. She was predeceased by her husband, Cyril Ewing; son, Stacey; parents, Charles and Lillian Saunders; brothers, Gary, Charles and Alston; mother-in-law, Lavinia Ewing; sister-in-laws, Dorothy Williams, Joyce Gough and Shirley Saunders.<br>Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Homes. Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, from 7-9pm and her Home Going Service will be Monday, January 23 at 1pm both services to be held in East Preston United Baptist Church, 206 Upper Partridge River Dr. East Preston. Burial will follow in East Preston Cemetery.<br>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the NS Alzheimer’s Society or the East Preston Building for God Fund.
