Denise Marie Howe, age 74, of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia passed away December 29th, 2016, peacefully at home.
Born in Jonquière Quebec. She was the daughter of the late Leo Joseph Bellefeuille and Hilda (Vaillancourt) Bellefeuille
"She was beautiful, but not like those girls in the magazines. She was beautiful for the way she thought. She was beautiful for that sparkle in her eyes when she talked about something she loved. She was beautiful for her ability to make others smile even when she was sad. No, she was not beautiful for something as temporary as her looks. She was beautiful, deep down to her soul"~ Anonymous.

Denise spent many years volunteering at The Nova Scotia Hospital Mackay Unit helping nurture young teenagers. Denise was a mother to all she met regardless of their age. Her heart and love was endless to those who entered her life. Denise also worked with adults with special needs for many years. She was passionate about sewing, not for herself, but for others. She received great joy in making things and seeing people smile. Her house was never just a house but a home for all that entered the doorway. Her smile was always warm and welcoming. She was always ready for a good laugh and was a bit of a trickster, just to see someone smile. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Bill, children, grandchildren, and family. Denise had a special saying to her son "love you, friends forever" which he will hold close to his heart. To her daughter Charlene there special saying was "love you more, no returns". Denise was adored by each and every one of her grandchildren whom she loved with every ounce of her soul.

Denise is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, William Ronald Howe; son William Kenneth Howe; daughter Charlene Ann Howe; daughter in law Lillian Howe; grandchildren Nasara Howe, Leah Kyle, Macayla Howe, Kenneth Howe, Tyler Howe, Josh Carlton, and Hannah Howe and great Grandchild Delilah Denise Howe. She is also survived by her brothers Paul Joseph, Leon Joseph; sisters Mary (Douglas Carver), Claire (Ron) Kalavites, Jacqueline (Michael) Theriault, Linda (Gary) Davis, Anne Hamilton (Stewart) and many nieces and nephews.
Denise was predeceased by her brother Marcel Louie Bellefeuille.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Atlantic Funeral Homes. There will be no visitation by request of the family. Private interment will take place at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens at a later date with Deacon Charlotte Gidley of West Jeddore United Baptist Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The IWK Foundation, The Kids Help Phone or Bread of Life Ministries at http://www.street.ns.ca/

Special thanks to Dr. Mayelin Figueroa for her compassion and unfailing dedication; and to Mom’s special VON and Home care nurses.
