<div itemprop="description">MURCHY, Christopher Wayne Robert “Chris”, age 59 of Dartmouth. <br>We the family of Christopher Wayne Robert Murchy are saddened to announce his passing in the ICU of the Dartmouth General Hospital on Tuesday March 7th, 2017. He was born at the old Halifax Infirmary on August 22nd, 1957. <br>He is survived by his parents, Lloyd and Patricia “Pat” (Hanson) Murchy, sister Rev. Wendy Murchy; children Ginny (Tyler) of Halifax, Ryan of Petawawa, Sarah of Burlington, Ontario. He is also survived by granddaughters Chloe and Lilly of Halifax and Addison of Petawawa. <br>He was predeceased by both sets of grandparents, Norman and Dorothy Hanson, and Earl and Elizabeth Murchy. <br>At Chris’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9pm on Thursday March 16 in Evangel Pentecostal Church, 1412 Cole Harbour Road. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 2pm on Friday March 17 at the same location. Interment to take place in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens 767 Main Street, following the service. All are invited to join the family for a reception following interment in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. <br>Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Chris made to Elderdog of Canada would be appreciated. <br>Chris’ family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors of the ICU at the Dartmouth General Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Chris while he was a patient during his last 5 days. <br>Online condolences may be made by visiting the Dartmouth chapel at www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com <br></div>
