<div itemprop="description">On December 31, 2016, at age 54, Christopher "Chris" Paul Grace of Dartmouth passed away in the Palliative Care Unit of the Victoria General Hospital, QEII, after a lengthy and courageous battle with osteo carcinoma.<br><br>Born in Cobourg, Ontario, he was a son of Pauline (Ingram) and the late Robert Grace. He moved to Nova Scotia with his family at age 6, where he remained until his passing. Chris graduated from Dartmouth High and St. Mary’s University and spent most of his career helping individuals with disabilities.<br><br>Chris is survived by his mother Pauline, wife Catherine MacMillan and three loving children Connor, Cameron and Victoria. His children were his greatest gift and the light of his life.<br>Chris is also survived by his older brothers and best friends Robert Grace (Serena Innes) and Mark Grace (Micheline Trudeau), his nephews and nieces and great nephew and niece.<br><br>Chris was an avid sportsman, coaching his boys’ baseball teams and was a player, team captain and President for over 20 years of the Dartmouth Mixed Slow Pitch League. He also played basketball and tennis and was a former rugby player whose love for the sport has turned into a family calling with his children following in his footsteps.<br><br>Chris will be fondly remembered for his love of reading, movies, music and games and the absolute King of the corny joke! Always wanting to make others laugh.<br><br>Donations in honour of Chris may be made to Kid Sport Nova Scotia.<br><br>Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held in the Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street in Dartmouth on Saturday, January 7 from 2:00pm– 4:00pm.<br><br>Our family thanks go to the wonderful, caring staff at 8.3 Halifax Infirmary and the Palliative Care Unit of the V.G.
