<div itemprop="description">Adrian Brent Potter<br><br> “Father Innocent” <br><br> Age 67 died on November 9 2016 in Bear River of a blood clot to his lung. He was the son of the late Howard Oakley and Blodwen Potter of Deep Brook NS. Born June 6, 1949 in Annapolis Royal, he attended school in Deep Brook at the Annapolis Royal Academy, later studying at Acadia University, and University of Kings College In Toronto. Subsequently he studied Theology in New York, becoming a dynamic Russian Orthodox Priest. He has for many years ministered in Orthodox Missions in the USA, and to many people in the Local area. His gentle caring manner, and unlimited compassion and Christian faith touched many people – family, friends and strangers. He was an intelligent and engaging conversationalist, public speaker, and historian. He served as president as Clements Historical Society for many years. Formally he was a successful innkeeper owning the Lovett Lodge Bed and Breakfast in Bear River. He has also worked in years past for the National Parks system, and with local Museums. His interest include reading, music, and Cadillac’s. His greatest interest was the welfare of others.<br><br>He was a wonderful loyal and loving brother and will be indescribably missed, by his sister Maureen Potter.<br><br>Friends are invited to celebrate and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday November 19th, 10 a.m. at St. Vladimir Orthodox Church, 625 Purcell’s Cove Road. Later at 4 p.m. he will be buried beside his parents at Clementsvale United Baptist Cemetery<br>.<br>In Lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of your choice.<br><br>A celebration of joy for his life will be held next summer for family and friends.
