<div itemprop="description">Power, William Charles “Billy”, age 61, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. A character to the end, Billy could always make you laugh. He was strong-willed and fought a hard battle. Referred to lovingly as “Billy Babble-on,” he could talk anyone’s ear off. Billy was loved dearly, will be greatly missed, and never forgotten by his family and friends. He dedicated a great deal of his life to the care of his mother. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, kayaking and the outdoors. He loved camping and spending time with his daughter, Jessica and had a special bond with his niece Dana Bell from the beginning to the end. He will be sadly missed by his true friend Kenny Tully whom he thought of as a brother.<br>He is survived by his daughter Jessica Power; his sisters Mary (Raymond) Simmonds, Karen (Stephen) Whitehead and Margo (Richard) Thynne; sister in law Linda Power; four nieces; four nephews; as well as several great nieces, great nephews; and a couple of great-great nieces. <br>Predeceased by his parents Merlin and Helen (Barkhouse) Power; his brother Paul Power; and his sister Elizabeth “Betty” Power. <br>A celebration of life will be held at the residence of Dana Bell, 29 Swanton Drive, Dartmouth on Saturday, March 25 from 2pm -4pm. A private service for family will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Lecki and Dr. Peltician as well as the nursing staff on 6B and the liver transplant team at the VG Hospital for their wonderful support and care. And many thanks to Billy’s neighbours on Langdon Drive for your support.<br><br> In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Liver Foundation.
