<div itemprop="description">COLES, Walter Edward - 85, Dartmouth, passed away February 5, 2015 surrounded by his family. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late William George and Lillian May (Sweet) Coles. Walter is survived by his loving wife, Marian; children, Wendy (Doug) Langan, Beth (Doug) Sealy, Robert (Megan) Coles, Gail Lebel, and Carolyn (Trevor) Guy; grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, and Ryan Langan; Jessica and Alyssa Sealy; Lily Coles; and Nicholas and Thomas Guy; one great-granddaughter, Emily Langan; sisters Jessie Farrell and Gertrude Nickerson; and sisters-in-law Barbara Coles and Lillian Grant. He was predeceased by his brothers Howard (Audrey) Coles, George Coles, and Gordon Coles; sisters, Evelyn (Guy) Keddy, Edith (Clyde) Brownlee, and Dorothy Coles; sister-in-law, Lilias Smyth; mother-in-law, Lilias Scott and son-in-law Gordon Lebel. Bucky was a devoted husband and very proud of his wife, their family, and all of their accomplishments throughout their 58 wonderful years together. He proudly served as an Imperial Oil employee for 38 years. After his retirement, he and Marian spent their winters together in Florida with friends. Special thanks to all those who provided care for Walter in his later years, including Holly, Always Home, Revera Homecare, Parkstone, The Berkley, and the staff from Glasgow Hall at Parkland at the Lakes in Dartmouth. A memorial service will be held 2:30 pm Sunday, February 8 followed by a reception, both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Private family interment at a later date in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer&rsquo;s Society or to the IWK Health Centre Foundation.
