Vince was employed for 32 years with the Halifax Regional Fire Service until retiring as a well respected Captain in 2008. He loved his life as a fireman and made many lifelong friendships during his career. Vince was everyone’s big brother and support. The family would like to extend its gratitude to everyone for walking beside us at this most difficult time. Special thanks to Dr. Paul Begin for helping with the “scary” times and to Casey Rutte and Mark Spence for taking care of business. The family would also like to thank the staff at the QEII Cancer Center for their continued care and support.

A golden heart stopped beating
Two smiling eyes at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best
Forever in our Hearts
