<div itemprop="description">VINCENT GILBERT SAMPSON, age 84<br />It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father on June 23rd, 2015. He was surrounded by his family at the Dartmouth General Hospital when God took him home. Born in Halifax, son of Lawrence and Lucy (Harris) Sampson. Vince worked in the Halifax Shipyards for over 35 years, was an excellent craftsman and loved watching his sports on TV, some of his favourite places to be was in his garage building things and the dock in Eastern Passage. Vince&rsquo;s family was everything to him, he cherished his grandchildren and adored his great grandchildren. He was fondly known as &ldquo;Graupy&rdquo;. Vince is survived by the love of his life Margaret (Noade) of 60 years; daughters Alice and Nancy (Ralph Lamrock); sons Thomas (Debbie Hatt) and Marshall (Ruth West); Sisters Doris Deveau , Lillian Campbell, Isabelle Doyle; Brothers Gordon, Raymond (Alice); 4 grandchildren, Shelby and Teanna Sampson, Lake Echo, Shawn (Rachel) and Stacey Lamrock, Alberta; 2 great-grandchildren, Emerson &amp; Rylynn Lamrock, Alberta. Many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by: sisters Evelyn Pottie and Marie Rutka. Visitation will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Forest Hills Parkway, Dartmouth Sunday, 7-9.Funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 am at the church, Interment to follow after reception at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens, Main St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to, Heart and Stroke Foundation. Special thanks to the Cole Harbour Paramedics and Westphal Fire Department and the emergency staff at DGH. You will be missed.
