Terry MacLaughlin
August 3, 1958 - September 6, 2016
Age 58, of West Porter’s Lake, passed away on September 6, 2016 in the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Halifax he was a son of Gwennie (Soper) and the late John MacLaughlin.
Terry was the proud owner and operator of Provincial Western Star and Provincial Diesel and Provincial Kenworth businesses. He was a heavy equipment Mechanic by trade and most recently worked for Ceres Corp. He was very passionate about his work. There was no job he wouldn’t attempt. Terry was a man who was loved by all.
In addition to his mother, Terry is survived by his spouse Heather Muise; daughters Sheryl (Jimmy) Delaney, Jodi MacLaughlin (Travis Roma); grandchildren, Kasey and Bailee; brother Danny (Kim) and their children Callie and Cody; and many aunts and uncles. He will be sadly missed by his much loved dogs, Bentley and Dean.
He was predeceased by his father John in 2016.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Life Reception will be held from 6-8pm on Sunday September 11th in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crohns and Colitis Canada or the SPCA of Nova Scotia.
Special thanks to the first responders; firefighters, paramedics and to the staff of the Dartmouth General ICU for the special care provided to Terry.
