<div itemprop="description">DELANEY, Sean Martin Patrick-28, of Dartmouth, passed away on November 18, 2014 in the QEII Halifax Infirmary after a brief illness. <br />Born in Halifax at the Grace Maternity Hospital, he was the only son of Carol Jackson and the eldest son of Brian Delaney. <br />Sean graduated from Prince Andrew High School in 2005. He received a scholarship to attend the Centre for Arts and Technology and Graduated with a Certificate in 2D 3D animation and Production Animation in 2007. He later attended NSCC Waterfront Campus and earned his diploma in Business Administration in Accounting in 2013. He had planned to complete his Business Degree at St. Mary&rsquo;s University. <br />At the time of his death, he was employed with Vibrant Marketing; he has also worked for Election&rsquo;s Canada, Kent Building Supplies, NSLC, Loblaws, Launch Marketing and had completed an Internship at CAT Equipment in the Accounting Department. <br />Sean enjoyed learning new things and participating in many sports and activities: hockey, golf, reading, canoeing, soccer, T-ball, swimming, biking, Tae Kwon Do, skiing; he even participated in a 5km run with his mom. His other interests included &ldquo;stand-up&rdquo; comedy, improve, volunteering, writing poems and short stories, sketching, gaming, playing pool. He was a member of the Caledonia Junior High band and choir-he learned to play piano, trumpet, guitar and harmonica. <br />His kindness and sense of humour were his greatest traits. He would cheer for the underdog and was quick to help someone in need. He had a kindness for pets and wildlife and often rescued injured birds and stray cats. He was a Gentle Giant. <br />Sean&rsquo;s greatest love was for his friends and family and he especially loved the big family get togethers and visiting &ldquo;Grampie's&rdquo; farm. <br /> <br />Sean is survived by his parents; step mother Kathleen,brothers, Dylan, Kian; and sister Erin; grandparents, Jeanette and the late John Jackson, Martin and Ruth Delaney; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. <br />Sean was predeceased by his grandfather &ldquo;Johnny&rdquo;; his Aunt Norma Gordon and cousin Jessie Payne. <br />Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday November 22 from 7-9pm in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. The funeral service will take place on Sunday November 23 at 2:30pm in the funeral home chapel, Rev. James Haughn officiating. Reception to follow.
