<div itemprop="description">MacDonald, Sarah Rita RN Age 92, of Dartmouth. Much beloved aunt, passed away peacefully and fearlessly into the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ on October 21, 2016 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. <br>Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Sarah (Campbell) MacDonald. <br>Sarah graduated in 1952 from the Halifax Infirmary and spent her nursing career caring for newborns in the maternity ward until the old hospital was closed. She then worked for the Department of Highways for the Province of Nova Scotia until her retirement. <br>Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Ellen MacDonald and Kay (Vincent) Condran; brothers Alex and in childhood, John and her twin, Angus. <br>She is survived by nieces, Catherine (Richard) Draper, Christine Condran, Deborah Morehouse, all of Dartmouth; Karen MacDonald and Janice (Ron) Clarke, both of Calgary, Alberta; nephews Philip (Sharon) Condran and John Condran, both of Dartmouth; Brian (Denise) MacDonald of White Rock, B.C. and Michael (Francine) Condran of Ottawa, Ontario. <br>She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. <br>Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Monday October 24, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. <br>The funeral mass will take place at 12pm on Tuesday October 25, in Saint John XXIII, 35 Colby Drive, Dartmouth, Father Irek Bem presiding. Reception to follow in the church hall. <br>Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. <br>Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Dartmouth Adult Service Centre (DASC), 59 Dorey Ave., Dartmouth, or Bide-A-While or the Nova Scotia SPCA.
