<div itemprop="description"> <p> ASHTON-BYRNE, Sandra Mona Frances of Dartmouth passed away on November 18th at the Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by all of her loving family. </p> <p> Born in Montreal, she was a daughter of Clifford and the late Mona Ashton (nee Cameron). </p> <p> Sandra grew up in Shannon Park and Wallace Heights, Dartmouth. She graduated from Champlain College in St. Lambert, Quebec with a diploma in Psychology. She also attended McGill University to further her studies in business administration and psychology. Sandra enjoyed genealogy, tracing her family&rsquo;s history through prior generations and reading. &nbsp;Most of all, Sandra loved travelling around the world with Dave visiting Australia, Hawaii, the Caribbean and most of Europe. </p> <p> She is survived by her husband David Byrne, daughters: Shai&rsquo;na (James), Melanie, Kelly, and Billey-Jo (Mark); sons: Stephan and Mark (Leah). Also survived by sisters; Cathy, and twins Judy and Janet; brothers Derek and Cliff and grand-children: Evan, Kenadee, Cian, Jack, Jaida and Carson. </p> <p> Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 21st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. A memorial service will be held on Thursday November 22nd at 2pm in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Pat Malin officiating. A reception will be held&nbsp;at the Atlantic Funeral Home Reception Lounge following the service.&nbsp; </p> <p> In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. </p> <p> The family would like to thank the staff of the Dartmouth General Hospital, all of the nurses on the 3rd and 4th floors, especially Angela McFadden RN, of Palliative Care.
