<div itemprop="description">Beals, Rosetta &ndash; Age 84 of North Preston, went home to meet her lord on Wednesday September 24th, 2014, in the Dartmouth General Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born March 10, 1930 in North Preston, she was a daughter of the late Noah and Rebecca (Grouse) Smith. Rosetta was survived by her daughters; Roena, Toronto; Irma (Ernest), Sherry (Leroy), all of North Preston; Darlene (Michael), Toronto; Marsha (David), Greenwood; Cola, North Preston. Sons; Terrance (Arvella), North Preston; Milton (Minerva); Dartmouth, Michael (Laura), Dartmouth; Anthony (Helen), Halifax; Troy. Sisters; Joyce (Chester) Downey, Genevieve (Vencil) Simmonds; all of North Preston, Brothers; Cyril Sr, North Preston Cyril Jr ( Julie) Sackville, Michael ( Roxanne); North Preston; Lonnie and Charlie, Toronto; Patrick, Dartmouth, Godchildren; Rodger Smith, Kerry Johnston, God brother; Samuel Sr, God sister; Ivory, Sister in laws; Mrs. Burley Johnston; Pastor Alfreda Smith; Mrs. Priscilla Smith; Best Friend; Mrs. Gloria Simmons, Friends; Mrs Winnifred Beals-Willis, Mrs Shirley Cain, Mrs. Josephine Johnson. 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, several godchildren. Rosetta predeceased by her husband, the late Raymond Beals. She was also predeceased by her brothers; Henry, Lloyd, Everett and Herbert. Sisters; Audrey, Myrna, Ada and Mayola. Stepsister, Louella Smith. Rosetta was baptized and was a member of St. Thomas Baptist Church, where she was an active member. She was a member of the senior choir, Ladies Auxillary, North Preston Senior Club, B.Y.P.U. Nurture Fellowship Group, Annie V. Johnson, I.O.D.E. and PALS. Rosetta was employed as a cook in her early years at Longwood Restaurant, North Preston Day Care Center, Four Seasons Hotel, and the Steak and Stine Restaurant. Mom had a wonderful sense of humor, and whenever you visited her home, you would always leave full and happy. The family would like to thank the Nursing Staff at the Dartmouth General Hospital 3 West (Linda and Tracy) for showing Mom the best of care, and (Holly) at Northwood Home Care for caring for Mom while she was at home. Visitation will be held on Monday September 29th, 2014, 7-9 p.m. at St. Thomas Baptist Church, where the &ldquo;Home Going Celebration&rdquo; will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 30th, 2014, with Rev. Wallace Smith officiating. Donations in Rosetta&rsquo;s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.</div>
