<div itemprop="description"> <p> Barrett, Ronald Patrick, 82 Dartmouth.&nbsp; Passed away after a lengthy illness Wednesday January 23, 2013 in Dartmouth General Hospital.&nbsp; Born in Halifax he was the son of the late Daniel and Daisy (Wilson) Barrett.&nbsp; Ronald was predeceased by brother David.&nbsp; He is survived by his devoted loving wife of 59 years Marjorie (Siddle), Dartmouth; daughters Susan (David) Bowes, Fletcher Lake, Nancy Eisener, Cole Harbour, Linda (Les) Scott, Shubenacadie; son Gary, Dartmouth; son in law Graham Eisener; grandchildren Andrew Bowes, Jodi Bowes, Matthew Eisener, Bradley Cornelius, Jennifer Cornelius, Julie Barrett and Mallory (Kevin) Marriott ; 4 great grandchildren; brother Edward and sister Valerie (Bobby) Dickson; niece Shauna-Lee and nephew David.&nbsp; </p> <p> Ronald was a skilled carpenter by trade he was employed by Halifax Shipyards.&nbsp; He joined the Canadian Naval Reserves prior to his full time employment with the Royal Canadian Navy.&nbsp; He was then employed with Halifax Regional School Board where he retired after a 25 year career.&nbsp; While still continuing with the Reserves he retired as Chief Petty Officer. </p> <p> Ronald was a hardworking man and enjoyed hunting, camping, social gatherings and was well known for his competitive nature playing crib (often calling Muggins). </p> <p> &nbsp;Cremation has taken place.&nbsp; Visitation will be held 2-4pm and 7-9pm Friday January 25 with a Memorial &nbsp;Service&nbsp; 11:00 am Saturday January 26 both in Atlantic Funeral Home 771 Main Street Dartmouth.&nbsp; Interment &nbsp;in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.&nbsp; Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Reception Centre.&nbsp; Family flowers only.&nbsp; Donations in Ronald`s memory may be made to a charity of one&rsquo;s choice.
