<div itemprop="description">ROBERT LORNE MACDONALD <br>Age 55 of Porter’s Lake, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, January 8th 2017. <br>Born March 23, 1961, the only son of Lorne and Beverly MacDonald. Born and passed at Twin Oaks Hospital in Musquodoboit Harbor.<br>Robert graduated from Eastern Shore District High School, and obtained his Business Administration Certificate from the N.S. Vocational School in Dartmouth. He worked alongside of his father as a youth, and after studies, invested his life devoted to the family business of MacDonald Fencing Limited. Robert, along and his sister Karen, for the past five years have continued the family business after their Mom and Dad’s retirement. He was also the General Manager for the family-owned Marina Mobile Home Park in Porter’s Lake. Robert thoroughly enjoyed his friends, spending time as an active dart player with the Porters Lake Pub Dart League, and had played previously with the Dartmouth Regional Mixed Dart League for years. He will be sorely missed by many.<br>Besides his parents, left to mourn are his beloved sons Joshua (Candace), Alexander and Gregory, all of Dartmouth. His sister Karen (Eric), Porter’s Lake, and his loving nephews Robert , Porter’s Lake, Christopher (Josee-Ann), Ottawa and Jeffrey (Janet) and great nephew Jayden, Fort McMurray and other nieces and nephews, near and far.<br>Robert is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Donald and Kathleen MacDonald and maternal grandparents Aubrey and Vera Conrod.<br>Visitation will be held Friday, January 13th at 7 pm and memorial service Saturday January 14th at 11 am, both at the Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. The Reverend Kyle Wagner officiating. Private family interment following service. Reception to follow.<br>Donations in Robert’s name can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of N.S. or to Saint Mark’s Anglican Church, Porter’s Lake, N.S.</div>
