Decker, Renee Mary, age 28, of Porter’s Lake passed away suddenly on September 25th, 2016.
Born in St. John’s Newfoundland, she was the daughter of Karen and Michael Dawe and Peter and Shelley Dale.
Renee’s family was the centre of her life . She was a loving, amazing mother to Abel Michael, the absolute light of her life.She was a devoted and dedicated wife to Josh. She loved her two boys immensely, and showed it in every possible way. She was a true lover of life, and always grateful for her family and blessings.
Renee was an enthusiastic entrepreneur, and was an attentive and creative daycare provider to many little ones, and took joy in her work of being an early childhood educator. She was also a top student in her classes at NSCC. She was a lover of animals, and opened her heart and home to all kinds of animals, many times. With her considerate personality and generous heart, Renee was a dedicated volunteer, becoming involved with many children’s charities and organizations committed to the welfare of animals.
Renee was dear to the hearts of many. She was always the first to celebrate accomplishments and special moments, lighting up any room that she entered, but also never hesitated to reach out to help and lend support in times of need.
Along with her loving parents, husband and son, she leaves behind brothers Johnathon (Jennifer), Robert, sister Katie (David), father-in-law Gary, mother-in-law Lori, brother-in-law Luke, grandparents Nanny and Poppy Decker, Nanny Sandra, Nanny Dale, nephew Nathan, special cousin Nicolas (Dawn), many aunts, uncles, cousins, second parents Monica and Brian Fudge, as well as other extended family and countless lifelong friends, including Samantha and James, and Samantha and Shawn.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service to be held at 2pm, on Thursday September 29th in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to local charities close to Renee’s heart; Hope for Wildlife, the IWK, and the Children’s Wish Foundation.
A mother held her new baby and
Very slowly rocked her back and forth,
back and forth, back and forth.
And while she held her, she said
I’ll love you forever.
I’ll like you for always,
As long as I’m living,
My baby you’ll be.
