<div itemprop="description"> <p> Regina Marie Crawley, age 66 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on May 9, 2012 with her husband and children by her side at the VG Hospital, Halifax. </p> <p> Born in Africville N.S. She was the daughter of Cora (Carvery) and the late Aubrey Howe. </p> <p> Regina would fondly recall her employment at the Protestant Orphanage (Veith House) helping and caring for children for a number of years. During her time of employment here she later moved in and took on the job of assistant cook and other duties.&nbsp; She then moved on to work in dietary at the Victoria General Hospital for a number of years. Regina enjoyed employment at the hospital so much she later moved on to work at a supervisory role in the housekeeping department of the Halifax Infirmary for over 20 years before she retired. In her retirement years she had time to spend with her loving Husband, son, daughter and grandchildren. &nbsp;Love and respect was expressed daily in her own unique way. </p> <p> Regina was a member of Stevens Road Baptist Church, Dartmouth, where she served with great faith, devoting her time. She Praised her Lord daily while teaching family and friends what his love was about. Regina loved to talk to the young people and was encouraging in advice she gave. She loved to share stories about Africville and she loved to entertain. She relaxed while watching Coronation Street during her spare time. </p> <p> Regina is survived by her loving dedicated husband David K Crawley, Son David C Crawley Jr. Daughter Melissa, Grandson Coleby Nordin, Granddaughters Kelista and Olivia and Great grandson Cayden. She was predeceased by her baby brother Bruce and grandparents Kathleen and Kenneth Elcock. Sisters: Gloria (Charlie) Grouse Halifax, Ruby Oliver Hammonds Plains, Roberta (William) Downey Halifax, Sheila (Earl) Lucas Lower Sackville, Christine (Larry) Allison, White Hills, Angela (Andre) Lower Sackville, Dale Toronto, Roslyn Montreal, Joslyn(Reggie) Knights, Brampton Ont, Brothers: Archie (Rose), Robert (Julie). </p> <p> She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. </p> <p> Visitation will be held at Atlantic Funeral Home Monday May 14, 2 &ndash; 4 and 7 &ndash; 9. Funeral service will be held May 15, 1:00pm at New Beginnings Church, 26 Cherry Brook Road. Rev Shirley DeMerchant officiating. Burial in Atlantic Funeral Homes cemetery.
