<div itemprop="description"> <p> MORRES, Phyllis Eileen, 86 of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia passed away 30 September 2011 at Dartmouth General Hospital.&nbsp; Born in Mimico, Ontario on 20 June 1925, she was the daughter of Alice Mabel and Thomas Cale who both predeceased her.&nbsp; She is survived by her husband, Clive Morres and her daughters Lynn (Martin) Laide, Gail (Bernie) Bates and Dawn (Shawn) Clarke, by one brother Earl Cale and one sister, Peggy Grant.&nbsp; She was predeceased by her brothers Harold Cale and Fred Cale.&nbsp; She was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.&nbsp; Eileen was an adventurer and a traveller;&nbsp; a singer with a big band, an accomplished seamstress and a wood worker.&nbsp; She served Canada during the Second World War as a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force where she trained as a telegrapher and was posted to St. Stephens, New Brunswick, where she spent her time listening, and recording, the messages from German submarines.&nbsp; She brought her daughters to Dartmouth after the death of her first husband and here she met the second love of her life, Clive.&nbsp; She always worked hard as a court reporter and justice of the peace in the Dartmouth court house and when she retired from the court, she opened her own successful discovery business.&nbsp; When she finally decided to retire, she and Clive spent many happy years wintering in Florida where they made some very good friends.&nbsp; Eileen was a loyal sports fan and always cheered for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays no matter what their standing in the season.&nbsp; She loved baseball and was always excited to see the spring training games when they were in Florida.&nbsp; Eileen was a strong, independent and energetic woman, she will be missed by her family and all of her friends, the wives of C.N.A.G.&nbsp; &nbsp;Visitation will be held at the Atlantic Funeral Home &ldquo;Dartmouth Chapel&rdquo; on Wednesday October 5, 2011 from 12:00 pm until the time of Service at 1:00 pm. Interment at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.&nbsp; Reception to follow at the Atlantic Funeral Home.&nbsp; The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Lung Association.&nbsp; Online condolences may be made at www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com <br /> </p> </div>
