<div itemprop="description">DAKIN, Patricia Irene (Freeman) 71 of Dartmouth passed away suddenly on Sunday December 20, 2015. Born in Ilford North, Essex, England. She was the daughter of Canadian Soldier J. Laurie Freeman and war bride Irene Hall immigrating to Nova Scotia in 1946. She was a retired employee of 29 years from Dartmouth Heritage East Coast Credit Union and was also a longtime member of Stevens Road Baptist Church, Dartmouth, NS. She loved to volunteer and was well known for her baking abilities. She is survived by her companion of 32 years, Bob Thompson. Her children Bruce, Nancy (Glenn) Nickerson and granddaughter Rebecca. Ellery Dakin, father of Nancy and Bruce. Her brother Keith (Edie) Freeman, sister Pam (Trevor) Townsend and extended families. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 pm Monday December 28, 2015 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St, Dartmouth. A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Stevens Road United Baptist Church, 2 Stevens Rd, Dartmouth. Reception following the service. Private family burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in her memory. <br /></div>
