<div itemprop="description">KELLY, Mitchell Lewis-27 of Lake Echo. Mitchell went home into the arms of his grandparents, Lewis and Florence on March 22, 2015 after a short battle with AML Leukemia in the QEII VG Site. <br />Born in Halifax, he was the son of Dale Kelly and Jamie Stratton. <br />Mitchell graduated from CHDHS in 2006. A former member of Scouts Canada, he received the Medal of Meritorious Conduct in in 2000 for saving Jamie&rsquo;s life at Laurie Park. <br />Mitchell enjoyed wing night at Dolittles, playing pool at Dooly&rsquo;s and crib night at the Newfoundland Club. Thanks to Carla and the staff of the Rodeo for all of the great memories. He loved his truck , his ATV, camping, cold beer, a shot of rum, and camp fires. <br />He is survived by his parents Dale and Jamie; girlfriend Felicia Ann Tibert; son Channing Lewis Kelly; sisters Carol-Lee and Amanda Kelly; grandparents Marg and Bill Stratton; nephew MacKenzie and niece Haleigh. He is also survived by his father-in-law Robert Tibert; mother-in-law Debbie Purdy; special Aunt Audrey Boutilier. <br />He was predeceased by his grandparents Lewis and Florence Burgess; and Uncle Louis Charles. <br />Cremation has taken place. The memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday March 27 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street Dartmouth, Rev. James Haughn officiating. Reception to follow. <br />In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leukemia Patient Amenities Fund, Account # T-658, QEII Foundation. <br />The family wishes to thank the nursing staff of 8A, VG, Melanie, Erin, Susan, Rachael, Nancy, Jean, Julia, and Janice Spencer and Rev. David Maginley. <br />Thanks to the staff of AllTerrain Construction; to Jason and Andrew Rodgers, Mike Johnson and Gary Davison.
