Mary Isabella "Mae" Gribben
July 6, 1930 - January 10, 2017
GRIBBEN (Duncan), Mary Isabella “Mae”, age 86, of Dartmouth, passed away on January 10, 2017 in the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Belfast, N. Ireland, she was the daughter of the late William and Ellen (Turner) Duncan.
She was a member of the I.O. D.E. and a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Dartmouth. She also spent many a Sunday at St. Paul’s Anglican and various other churches with her husband Derick who served as the organist.
Mae is survived by her son Kevin (Erin Moore), of Toronto, Ont.; brothers, Noel (Shirley) Duncan, Burlington, Ont., William (Nuala) Duncan, Toronto, Ont., and 4 nieces.
She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Frederick “Derick”.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Monday January 16th in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth.
The funeral service will take place at 1pm on Tuesday January 17th in First Baptist Church, 100 Ochterloney St., Dartmouth.
Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in the Atlantic Funeral Home Reception Centre.
Memorial donations may be made to Bide-Awhile Animal Shelter or World Vision Canada.
