<div itemprop="description">Dickson, Mary – age 78 of Dartmouth passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Ocean View Continuing Care. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Stewart (Lornie). Survived by siblings Ella Foley, Gloria Gibson (Bill), Bill Stewart and George Stewart. Mary bravely left Scotland in the early 60's to immigrate to Canada with her husband and two daughters at the time. She was a loving and devoted wife. Her greatest accomplishment and pride was raising her five children and always putting them first. After the children were grown, she started a career doing Microfiche for a lawyer's office until she retired. Mary has passed on her many talents to her children such as knitting, sewing, upholstery to name a few and of course "bargain shopping". Mary, the Scot, always loved a good bargain. Mary is survived by daughters, Angela Chaisson (Shawn), Elaine Lightle (Darrell), Rhonda Kenny (Gerry), Belinda Dickson (Jeff Guertin); son, William Dickson (Cathy Burgess); grandchildren, Ryan (Erika), Brad (Bailey), Ben (Brittany), Erica (Andrew), Dan (Nicole), Scott (Jen), Christina, Seana, Brandon, Mikaela, Taylor; great grandchildren, Blake, Claire , Laynee, Lily, Elliana, Avery and Chloe. Mary is predeceased by her husband, Roy. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private family service at a later date.
