<div itemprop="description">Marjorie Elizabeth Andrews (Faulkner) “Nanny” <br> <br>Of Dartmouth, passed away, Sunday January 8, 2017, at home with her loving husband, of 79 years, by her side. She was 99 and a survivor of the Halifax Explosion. Born in Dartmouth, Marjorie was the eldest daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Kelly) Faulkner. Marjorie was the devoted wife of Albert Edward Andrews and proud mother of Nancy Cameron, Ontario; Edward (Marilyn) Andrews, Prince Edward Island; Carolyn (Joe) Murphy, Cape Breton; Wayne Andrews, Nova Scotia. Marjorie was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great, grandchild and was lovingly known as “Nanny”. <br> <br>Marjorie was a long time member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Dartmouth. She was a member of the church choir and participated in many events with the ladies’ auxiliary where she was known for her delicious sweets. Marjorie was an incredible baker and she was very generous in sharing this gift as well as many family recipes with others. She and Ed were very active and enjoyed many activities together including bridge, bowling, curling, dancing and golf. She was once a member of the Northumberland Links Golf Club in Pugwash. Together, Marjorie and Ed also enjoyed spending summers, with family, at their cottage on the Northumberland Strait. In her early years Marjorie was an avid canoe-er and member of the North Star Rowing Club where she originally met her beloved Ed. <br> <br>Marjorie is survived by her husband, Albert Edward “Ed”, who will miss her dearly; and her sisters, Joan Gardiner, and Mary Huston. Besides her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by infant brother, Eric; Son-in-law, Russell Cameron; brothers, Stanley, Clyde, Roy, Alan, Charlie, and Gordon; sisters, Jean MacRae and Shirley MacArthur; and great-grandchildren Michael Norton, Lindsay Norton. <br> <br>A funeral service will be held Monday, January 16 at 2pm at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. In lieu of flowers please consider making a memorial donation to the Alzheimer Society of NS, 2719 Gladstone Street, Halifax, NS. <br> <br>The family would like to extend a special Thank You to all the continuing care workers and nurses that helped Ed to keep his beloved Marjorie at home.</div>
