<div itemprop="description"> <p> Ferrier, Margaret E.C. age 95 died July 18, 2012 at Oakwood Terrace. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland January 7, 1917, she emigrated to Canada with her family in June 1952, living in Dartmouth since 1955.&nbsp; After raising her family, she worked in various retail stores and was a manager of Reitman&rsquo;s and Laura Secord, retiring at Micmac Mall in 1982.&nbsp; She was known by her customers for her friendly smile and eager Scottish banter. </p> <p> She is survived by her sons George (Nancy Harmon), Halifax; Alan (Jo-Anne), Bridgewater; daughter Valerie (Thomas Mosher), Dartmouth and daughter-in-law Wilma, Waterville; 12 grandchildren.&nbsp; Predeceased by husband Angus and son Derek.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; </p> <p> Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 1 pm Monday July 23, 2012, at Iona Presbyterian Church, 90 Lucien Dr., Dartmouth, Rev. Dr. Cynthia Chenard officiating. A reception to follow.&nbsp; Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation, which was one of Margaret&rsquo;s favorite charities.&nbsp; </p> </div>
