Madeline Murphy
July 1, 1919 - November 19, 2016
Murphy, Madeline age 97, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on Nov 19, 2016 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born on July 1, 1919 she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Bridget (Henneberry) Sarty. Throughout her life Madeline worked at the K-mart in Dartmouth and Southeastern Commonwealth Drilling located in Bedford
Madeline is survived by her sister, Paula Lynch, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband Stanley Murphy who passed away in 1968 she was predeceased by brothers; Robert and Lloyd, sisters; Marilyn, Olive, Lillian, and Dorothy, two brothers in infancy; Warren and Roy Sarty.
A visitation will be held at Atlantic Funeral Homes November 25, 2016 at 8:30 am to 9:30 Am at Atlantic Funeral Homes 771 Main Street Dartmouth. A Funeral Mass will follow at Saint Peters Roman Catholic Church 10 Maple Street Dartmouth at 10:00 am with a reception and burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations in Madeline’s memory may be made to Feed Nova Scotia or food Bank of Choice. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Parkland for the wonderful care they gave her.
