<div itemprop="description">Cain, Lucille (Horne-West) age 82, of North Preston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday May 21st, 2015, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born on August 28th, 1932 in North Preston, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Annie Mae (Horne-West) Cain. She was a faithful member of St. Thomas Baptist Church up until her sickness. She was the stronghold for the family. Our mother was a quiet reserved and friendly person, loved by many. She loved to knit, sew and make quilts. She was often found reading her Bible and on her knees praying. <br />She is survived by daughters Valerie, Ontario, Christeen, and Laurel, both of North Preston, Angela, Halifax, Selene (Vance) Bundy, Oshawa Ont; sons Dwight, Julian, and Fedul, all of Dartmouth, Calvin and Nicholas of North Preston; 26 Grandchildren;, several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; Special grandson Kyree; sisters, Portia, Judith, Carolyn, Virginia, Cynthia, Joycelyn, Cecelia; brothers Leslie, Kevin, Reid, Lance; God daughter Muriel Willis, Godchildren Rosella, Kevin, Sokari, Michael, and Adam. <br />Predeceased by her husband Angus Cain; and six children. <br />Visitation will be held on Monday May 25 from 7-9 in St. Thomas Baptist Church, North Preston. The funeral service will take place at 1pm on Tuesday May 26 in St. Thomas Church, Pastor Wallace Smith officiating.
