Linda Ann Hawkes
January 20, 1962 - February 26, 2017
Hawkes (Slaunwhite), Linda Ann, age 55 of Dartmouth, passed away on February 26, 2017 at home.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Shirley (Fullerton) and the late Harold Slaunwhite.
Linda was a long-time volunteer at Metro Community Living and enjoyed it immensely. When she wasn’t volunteering, she loved to watch TV or listen to gospel music while knitting or crocheting.
She is survived by her husband William Lester Hawkes; her mother Shirley Leitch; step-sons Mark Ernest and Chris who live out west; brothers Robert, David (Rose), and James (Ruth) and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday March 3rd in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, Rev. Paul Wilson officiating. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
