<div itemprop="description">Age 82, of Eastern Passage, passed away peacefully at home Monday, September 29, 2014. Born in Woodside, April 4th, 1932 Lawrence was the youngest son of the late Adelbert &amp; Ellen (Horne) Fredericks. Lawrence owned horses and wagons, one of his horses was raced at Sackville Downs. He also enjoyed carving wood animals with his chain saw, operating his backhoe and managing his mini home park for many years. Lawrence is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan; sisters Jean Foell (Ottawa), Geraldine Keeler (Woodside) and Joan Waugh (Dartmouth); sons, Scott, Barry and John (Annette); grandchildren, Landon, Sarah and Drew, all of Eastern Passage. He is also survived by sisters in law, Marilyn Fredericks, Helen Fredericks and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Rod, Lockie, Eric and Bert and sisters in law Brenda and Jean. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Friday October 3rd, 6:00pm to 9:00pm with a memorial service, Saturday, October 4th at 10:00am, Rev. John Ferguson officiating, followed by a reception all at Atlantic Funeral Homes, 771 Main Street Dartmouth. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. <br />The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses and staff of the QE2, VON, We Care and Home Instead.
