KURTS, Kyle David – age 53 of Dartmouth passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at home. Born in Halifax he was a son of the late David and Heather (Jeffery) Kurts. Kyle is survived by his beloved dog, Teacup and his fiancee Margaret Preston. He is also survived by his sister Alwyn, nephew Caleb, and niece Shane.

Throughout his entire life, Kyle made friends where ever he went. He made a lasting impression on all those with whom he made contact. He lived and shared life to the fullest. His lust for life and all things interesting was infectious. He was the kind of person who walked in through the exit at every opportunity. His life was a testament to the phrase "pay it forward", and his positive impact on others was exponential. He was a bon vivant, an avid music fan, an event promoter, an entrepreneur, a lover of the outdoors, a photography enthusiast, an art patron, a storyteller, a globetrotter, and a card-carrying citizen of the universe.

And now his long, strange trip has begun. A celebration of Kyle's life will take place at The Local and The Seahorse, 2037 Gottingen Street on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, starting at 4:00 pm. All are welcome. One Love.

Arrangements are entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Homes, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Cremation has taken place. Kyle will be interred in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens at a later date with his Mom and Dad. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the S.P.C.A. or the Bide Awhile Animal Shelter.
