<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing on July 29, 2013, of Kimberly Dawn Paterson of Lantz, at the age of 48, from a complicated heart trauma that occurred on July 25th. Born in Summerside, P.E.I., she was the daughter of Joan MacLeod (Allister) and Wayne Paterson (Gilda) of Cole Harbour. Kim is survived by daughters Cassie and Olivia; brother Dwight (Shelley); nephews Ian and Joel; the girl&rsquo;s father Eric Devine and extended family. She was predeceased by grandparents, step-sister, step-sister in law, aunts, uncles and cousins. Kim was Administrative Assistant / Researcher with the Municipality of the County of Colchester where she was employed for 20 years. She also enjoyed her role in the Association of Municipal Administrators. She was a kind and gentle mother, sister, daughter and friend who enjoyed family gatherings, being with the girls, her cats, cooking and was well liked and respected by everyone. She had become skilled in the use of hammers and saws. Visitation will be in Atlantic Funeral Home 771 Main St., Dartmouth from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday, August 1 with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 2 in the funeral home chapel. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Following the burial a reception will be held in the Atlantic Funeral Home Reception Centre. A special thank you to Michelle, Truro Hospital staff and Ambulance Attendants, for their care and support and to Cassie and Olivia's friends who spent many hours with them at the hospital.
