<div itemprop="description"> <p> MacDonald, Kevin Joseph 52 of Lake Echo </p> <p> &nbsp; </p> <p> It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, brother in law and friend who passed away peacefully on October 3, 2012 at home.&nbsp; Born in Halifax on December 23, 1959 Kevin was the eldest son to Carol MacDonald and the late Joseph Douglas MacDonald.&nbsp; Kevin recently worked as an Iron Worker at the Halifax Shipyards and over the years worked at Woodside Industries and Maritime Steel Foundries.&nbsp; Kevin was the owner/operator of his own business K-Mac Excavating which was&nbsp;a true passion and brought him a lot of enjoyment over the years.&nbsp; Known for his pleasant and kind nature, strength, organization, hard work, endless energy, determination and strong will, any job or task Kevin touched would be completed to perfection. </p> <p> &nbsp; </p> <p> Surviving are wife Karen (Rent) son Ryan - brothers Michael and Barry (Harry) and sister Brenda MacPhee (Rod) nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.&nbsp; Predeceased by grandparents Fritz and Mary Deal and Rhoda and Edgar Geizer.&nbsp; Cremation has taken place. </p> <p> &nbsp; </p> <p> Visitation will take place on Friday October 5th, 2012 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Atlantic Funeral Home 771 Main St. Dartmouth. A Memorial service for Kevin will be held on Saturday October 6th, 2012 at 11am at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 320 Flying Cloud Dr., Cole Harbour.
