<div itemprop="description">Swinamer, Kenneth Larry In loving memory of Ken &ldquo;Kenny&rdquo;, aged 66, of North Preston, who passed away on November 16, 2015 after a brief battle with Cancer, in the VG site, QEII. <br />Born in Three Mile Plains, Windsor, in 1949, he was the youngest child of the late Raymond and Alice (Wilson) Swinamer. <br />Ken enjoyed a 28 year career working at Dalhousie University, retiring in 2004. When he retired from Dal, he worked with the Commissionaires for several years.<br />Ken was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. This is where he met and married Lorna (the love of his life) in 1995.<br />Ken is survived by his wife of twenty years, Lorna (Blagrove) Swinamer; goddaughter Kailea Saunders, Dartmouth; sisters Katherine Bates, Halifax and Marilyn (Laurie) Wile, Ardoise; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Elta and Barbara; and brothers, Walter and Emerson.<br />Visitation for Family and Friends will take place at the Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth on Sunday, November 22, 2015, from 7 to 9 PM. <br />The Funeral Service will be held at the Dartmouth Seventh Day Adventist Church, 35 Lakecrest Drive, Dartmouth, at 1pm on Monday November 23, Pastor Kevin Scott officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dartmouth Seventh-Day Adventist Church (Wheelchair Access Ramp Fund).
