<div itemprop="description"><br />Gill, Kenneth William &quot;Ken&quot; - 78, Dartmouth. Passed away peacefully Saturday June 15, 2013 in Victoria General Hospital, QE II. Born in Millville, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late William and Doris (Field) Gill. Ken was in the Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years where he was actively involved in fastball and hockey and later spent 14 years with Lafarge Canada. A long time member of the Grandview Golf and Country Club, Ken was also very involved in coaching minor hockey within SEDMHA and minor baseball for the Westphal Port Wallace Association. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Marion (McGarry); sons Tim, Dartmouth, Tony (Janice), New Glasgow, Trevor (Lara), Dartmouth; brother Stanley (Gladys), Victoria BC; sisters Doreen Brown, Millville, NB, Hazel Flemming, Millville NB, Hilda Jones, BC, Alex Moran, Whitby, ON, Rosealie (Philip) Tull, Salinas, Calf.; grandchildren Brett, Greg, Cheryl, Emma, Mason and Ashley. He is predeceased by brothers Richard, James, Donald; sisters Kathleen and Stella. Visitation will take place 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday June 19 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street Dartmouth. A funeral Service will be held 10am Thursday June 20 in Atlantic Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a reception. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
