<div itemprop="description">McMullen, Judith Catherine “Judy” age 67, of Dartmouth, passed away on August 9, 2016 peacefully at home. <br>Born in Dartmouth, she was the daughter of the late Hadley and Una (Horne) Boyd. <br>Judy had over 20 years of Executive experience working with non-profit organizations in both Cape Breton and Halifax/Dartmouth. She retired from her most recent career as Executive Director for Clean Nova Scotia in 2013. <br>She was very active in church activities, especially in areas relating to the development of young people. Judy was a past Deacon of South End Baptist Church, Dartmouth, NS where she was also a Sunday School Teacher. <br>Judy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Hugh; sons Hugh Patrick (Sheila), Middle Sackville, Kevin (Linda), Regina, Sask; grandchildren, Tyler, Isabella, and Leonardo. She is also survived by her brothers Steven (Katherine) Boyd, Edmonton, Alberta, David (Debbie) Boyd, Cole Harbour, NS; brothers-in-law Bill (Imelda) McMullen, Sudbury, Ont, Patrick McMullen, Sudbury, Ont., Donald (Melody) McMullen, Barrie, Ont.; sisters-in-law Mary (Paul) Oullet, Sudbury, Ont., Suzanne McMullen, Sudbury, Ont, and Colleen (Ron) Fehst, Whitby, Ont, longtime family friend Dale (Judy) Cullen, and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. <br>Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday August 12 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Interment to take place in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens, 767 Main Street at 12:30 pm on Saturday August 13. The memorial service will be held following interment at 2pm on Saturday in the South End Baptist Church, 60 Hastings Drive, Dartmouth, B2Y 2C6, Rev. Michael A. Vlahos officiating.
