<div itemprop="description">TEASDALE MILLER, Joan Constance, age 59, of Dartmouth passed away on January 7, 2015 after a brief stay at the Palliative Care Unit at the Victoria General building of the QEII Hospital. Born in Halifax in December 1955, she was the daughter of Donald and Barbara (Westcott) Teasdale of Dartmouth. Joan attended school in Dartmouth and graduated from St. Mary&rsquo;s University with a Bachelor of Commerce, in 1992 and worked in various government organizations and private sector companies before establishing an accounting business of her own. Her hobbies included creating textile arts and crafts, music, and gardening. She loved animals, and had many pets throughout her life. Her passion in life was trout fishing, which she learned to love from her father. Fishing expeditions to Camp Cozy every spring with her dad and brother Gary, and maintenance trips during the fall were highlights of her life. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Teasdale, Wolfville; brother Gary Teasdale, Dartmouth; sisters Brenda (Peter) Sheppard, Woodville; Laura (Peter) teBogt, Grand Pre, and nieces, Rachael and Kim Sheppard; Stacy, Emily, Susan and Donna teBogt. She is also survived by aunts, Muriel MacLeod, Margaret Teasdale, Dos Teasdale, and uncle, Clyde (Ginny) Teasdale, all of Dartmouth. Joan was a cousin to many on both sides of her family. Joan was predeceased by her father, Donald Teasdale, of Dartmouth. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Celebration of life and committal will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
