<div itemprop="description"> <strong> &#8203; </strong> <p> <strong> Landers, Jean &ldquo;Dolores&rdquo; - 74, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at home March 10, 2012 surrounded by her family. Born in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Verna (Nickerson) Killam. She enjoyed knitting, especially with the ladies at the Tuesday evening craft club. Her talents didn&rsquo;t stop there as many of her needle point pieces became heirlooms for her family and friends. Dolores loved to cook and bake and was famous with her family for her strawberry jam. Later in life, she worked inside and outside the home as a child care provider. Dolores was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and was happiest when surrounded by her family, especially her two grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Harold, Shelley, Treena, Troy (Natasha); grandson, Bradley; granddaughter Jessica. Dolores was predeceased by her husband, Harold &ldquo;Burpee&rdquo; in 2010 as well as her brother Roy Killam. Visitation will be held 7-9 pm Wednesday, in Atlantic Funeral home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth from where funeral services will take place 2 pm Thursday. Pastor Jonathan McLeod officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Burial will be 1 pm Friday in the Sanford Cemetery, Yarmouth County, NS. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Sanford Cemetery Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society.
