<div itemprop="description">Ozon (Irving) Janet &ndash; 50 of Dartmouth.<br />Passed away peacefully at the VG Site, QE II on August 5th after a brave and hard fought battle against breast cancer. Janet was born in Halifax to the late Allister &ldquo;Al&rdquo; and Jean (Diachuk) Irving<br />Janet moved to Ottawa to work in housekeeping management before obtaining her LPN and returning to Halifax to work at the QEII Health Sciences Centre.<br />Janet's dream was to start her own business, and did so with the opening of the Adelaide Respite Inn in Waverley in 2006. Her business was her passion and very dear to her heart. Her huge smile and joy of life we're enjoyed by many, as was her amazing art of entertaining. <br />She was most at peace when spending time at the cottage in Black Point, Pictou County.<br />She was the loving and cherished wife of Derek and loving mother of Darian who she adored so much. She is survived by her sister Allison Irving nieces Maddie and Alexa and nephew Spencer all of Bedford, and aunt Joanne Thompson. Also survived by mother in law Olla Ozon; brother in law Charles Ozon (Wendy); niece Catherine and nephew Alistair all of Dartmouth.<br />She will be sadly missed by her wonderful staff and her loving friends.<br />In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Active Healthy Children Society c/o Lavonne Carroll 1021 Cole Harbour Road Suite 241 Dartmouth NS B2V 1E8. The family would like to thank Dr. Rayson and Helen Searle RN for their excellent care; Allison Currie, social worker for all her support and the staff at the VG on 8A.<br />A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm Sunday, August 10 with a reception to follow both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street Dartmouth.
