<div itemprop="description">Cain, Gordon Jr. “Poppy:– 71, of North Preston, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2016 in Dartmouth General Hospital; with his loving wife of 24 years, Dale (Parsons), by his side. <br> <br>Gordon Jr. was the son of the late Deacon Gordon Sr. and Layola (Willis) Cain. Gordon Jr. was employed with Future Paving for over 20 years. <br> <br>Gordon Jr. was loved by many and always had a smile on his face. Gordon Jr. was survived by his 8 children, 3 step-children, several grandchildren, and 5 step-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Coreen, Norella, Charlotte, Carmela; all of North Preston, Lolita (Clinton); Toronto, Ont and brothers Levi, St. Francis (Ella), Jeffrey, Michael; all of North Preston, Cisco, Calgary, AB, Myles, Toronto, On. Gordon Jr. was predeceased by sisters Helen Sparks, Dale Cain; brothers Mandy, David and Vernon Cain. <br> <br>Arrangements are entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Visitation will be held Tuesday May 10, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Atlantic Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Stewart Williams officiating. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas Baptist Church, 35 Simmonds Road, North Preston, B2Z 1A3. <br> <br> Special thanks to Monica Flinn, Printhie Sanford, his palliative care nurse and all other health officials. <br>On-line condolences may be made to www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com. <br> <br></div>
