Glen William Keenan
Keenan, Glen W. Retired CD-1 – 58, of Dartmouth, passed away suddenly while travelling through Quebec to Ontario. Born in Oakville, ONT., he was a son of the late James and Velma (Patterson) Keenan. Glen served 29 yrs in the Canadian Armed Forces. He served two tours of peace keeping in Golan Heights. He served in Germany for four yrs with the Royal Canadian Regiment. He was also a member of the R.C.R. Pipe & Drums. After retiring in 2007 he drove school bus for Perry Rand. Glen is survived by his wife, Bernadette; daughters, Brooke Elizabeth & Shayla MacKenzie, who will miss him dearly; brother, Brian; sister, Cathy; special nephew, Chet Keenan, all of Ontario. Besides his parents, Glen was predeceased by his daughter, Breanna Marie; step mother, Joan Keenan. Visitation will take place from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday June 11th at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday June 12th in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of choice.
