George "Bud" Yhard

Age 77, of Eastern Passage passed away at Ocean View Continuing Care on Wednesday, September 21 2016.
Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late Matthew and Martha Yhard.
George’s love of the outdoors was truly part of his heart and soul, spending as much time as he could in his beloved Gabarus tending to his gardens, puttering around the bungalow, hunting and fishing, and living in harmony with the ocean.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Hoban) Yhard; sons, Barry (Darlene), Cole Harbour; Brian (Phyllis), Fall River; Bradley (Natasha), Burlington, ONT; sister, Marilyn (John) Leyte, Sydney; brothers, Douglas (Margot), Kingston, ONT; Jeffrey, Kingston, ONT; grandchildren, Noelle; Erika; Cassidy; Mathew; great-grandchild, Abbigail.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his sister, Ida Seury (Freddie); and sister-in-law Florence.
Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial to be held at a later date.
Donations in George’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia.
The family expresses their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Oceanview Manor for their special care.
