<div itemprop="description">Jennings, Frances Mary &ndash; Age 78, of Dartmouth passed away February 3rd at Dartmouth General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Corn in Aboujagane, NS., she was a daughter of the late Alphee and Arthemise (Boudreau) LeBlanc. Frances started her career as a waitress in 1957 at the Spudnut Shop (Halifax) leaving there to work at various Skillets at both Woolworths and Zellers. In 1973 she started working for CNIB Catering at BIO where she worked until she retired in 1990. Frances was an avid card player and had a passion for crib. She regularly played cards at Club 24, Findlay Community Centre, Saint Thomas More Parish, Royal Canadian Legion (Main Street) and the Young at Heart Seniors Club. Fran was happiest when she was playing (beating) her children and grandchildren in rummy and Skipbo. She is survived by her daughter Patricia (David) Hilchey and son Robert (Wendi) Jennings and five granddaughters; Michelle and Jessica Hilchey, Brenda (Kyle) Thistle, and Emily and Grace Jennings. Fran is also survived by sisters Alfreda Martin (Dartmouth) and Laura Labonte (Ontario). She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph, Brothers Arthur, Aurele, Alfred and Aquilla LeBlanc and Sisters Ovelina Power, Bernice Field, and Mary Stokes.Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Friday February 6th , 2015 from 2 &ndash; 4 and 7 &ndash; 9 P.M from the Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth from where the a memorial service will be held on Saturday February 7th , 2015 at 10 A.M. with Rev. James Haughn officiating. The family would like to thank the special family and friends who visited and helped care for Frances during these last few months. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.</div>
