<div itemprop="description">Age 46 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 19, 2016 at the Victoria General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Ross and Ginnie Clark, Dartmouth. He is survived by his loving family; his wife, Valerie Clark; son Morgan and daughter, Allie; brother Jason (Nicole); sister Jane and nieces, Payton and Miley. <br> <br>Dougie was a devoted husband and a loving father, brother and son who cherished spending time with his family. He was employed for the last 15 years in the finance department at the NSLC. Dougie had a passion for sports, growing up playing hockey, soccer and tennis. He played minor hockey with the SEDMHA organization (now Dartmouth Whalers), Midget career with the Dartmouth Chevys and Halifax McDonalds, Junior career with the Dartmouth Pepsis and senior hockey with Dartmouth Moosehead Mounties. Dougie also coached minor hockey in Dartmouth and at Dartmouth High School. When his son and daughter started to play hockey, he was their biggest fan and took pride and enjoyment in watching them play. <br> <br>Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22 from 6-8 pm in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street Dartmouth. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 23 at 10:00 am at the St. Peter’s Parish, 10 Maple Street, Father Richards presiding. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kidney Cancer Canada or a charity of choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Lori Wood and Patt as well the staff of 5A of the VG Hospital for their care and support. <br></div>
