<div itemprop="description">Flint, (Nee: Adams) Dorothy, age 86 Surrounded by her loving family she passed away peacefully in the Dartmouth General Hospital on the morning of July 27, 2016. Born in Halifax she was the only daughter of the late George and Florence Adams. Dorothy started dancing at an extremely young age and performed at many benefit shows along with her father and the late Merrell Bruce throughout the Maritimes and never stopped dancing in her latter years. She was an active member of the Victoria Road Baptist Church and enjoyed her time singing in the choir. Her many career choices took her to Montreal and Ontario but eventually she made her way back to the Maritimes after retirement. Post retirement she entered a program garnering acclamation for re-entry into the work force as a sales clerk in women’s fashion at an advanced age. <br>She is survived by daughters; Florence (Colin) Lyon Ottawa, Roxanne (Lawrence) Ross Mississauga; granddaughter, Nicole (Keith) Gough Ottawa and three great grandchildren; brothers, Harold (Catherine) Halifax, Albert (Eby) Montreal, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and special friend Mr. Joseph Tynes. <br>Besides her parents Dorothy is predeceased by her loving husband Ernest (Dickie) Flint, brothers; George, John, Maurice, Murray, and Dennis. <br> <br>A visitation will be held at Atlantic Funeral Homes 771 Main Street, Dartmouth on Friday July 29, 2 - 4, and 7 - 9 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 30 at 2:00 PM at Victoria Road Baptist Church, 36 Victoria Road, Dartmouth, NS with Rev. Lynn Riley officiating. Flowers are welcome, however, if you would like to make a donation in Dorothy’s memory, please make it to The Lung Association of Nova Scotia. The family would like to give a special Thank you to Personal Care Worker Amanda Gauvin, the Dartmouth General Fourth floor west medical team, and the entire staff and Management at The Berkeley in Dartmouth for their compassion and loving care.</div>
